Easily one of the best meals I've had in the city. Every plate was intentionally crafted and not a single one was bad. Our personal highlights were the branzino (buttery soft fish with an incredibly crispy skin) and the porridge. Service was great--friendly and conversational. Ambiance was good although leaning towards casual. Would absolutely come back again, especially since the menu changes on a regular basis.

My favorite restaurant (thus far!) I've been here on many special occasions, and I enjoyed it every time. The tasting menu does change, so I'd check the website before you go. Some highlights: of course the caviar Kim. If you're feeling boug get the uni Kim too...single best bite ever. The Jook is SO good! It's super comforting and the fois gras emulsion is a nice touch, it makes a homey dish like Jook so decadent The goguma juak w brown butter ice cream is a top tier dessert, the donut is sticky, warm and chewy, and the cold creamy ice cream is a great balance Love love this place

So tasty! The ambiance in the restaurant is quite nice and the service was great. My partner dropped some caviar while eating the caviar Kim and the server immediately brought over a spoon unprompted. We felt very taken care of. All the courses were amazing, other than the perilla leaf ice cream at the end. The end felt a little rush, as they brought out the perilla leaf ice cream and the Korean donut simultaneously. Caviar Kim was so good and I wanted to eat 10 of them. The seaweed was crunchy and the flavor was just great. Abalone porridge was so yummy. All the flavor blended so well together and felt so homey. I wanted to eat this all winter. The abalone was also so tender. Beet salad was very yummy. It really brought out the sweetness of beets. Fish and galbi were both very tasty as expected The Korean donut was so good I also wanted more

My partner surprised me with a reservation at Jua to celebrate a special occasion, and I can say they absolutely delivered on making our evening special. I'll start off by saying the service was on point - our waitress was friendly and helpful, providing us with delicious drink recommendations. Our dishes were paced out very well, allowing us to enjoy the evening without feeling rushed. Food was excellent. Each dish was curated so well, from the flavor to the textures to the consistency. While I truly enjoyed all of them, I would say my two favorites were the Galbi (the meat was cooked perfectly, and I really enjoyed the aspect of getting to pair all of the flavors together) and the Caviar Kim (constructed perfectly, didn't fall apart when I bit into it, amazing mixture of flavors and textures). Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience!

Super tasty modern Korean dishes! We were seated immediately upon arrival with great service. The cocktails are also very tasty and flavorful. The servers do a quick explanation of all dishes; I love how they include a recommendation of how to eat the dish too. There are a few upgrade choices too like adding an additional uni dish or abalone to the jook. Our favorites were the caviar Kim, sole, and galbi (thicker galbi cut and sooo tender) The ambiance is more casual (not super quiet) but very nice!

Food: 5 stars!! Every course was amazing! We loved it (based on Asian taste) Desserts: good but there's room for improvement. Drink was the reason I took off 1 star, Wine list was not amazing Mixologist was just pulling all into one bottle and mixed We tried 2 of sparkling wines and rose, mid Cocktails - not amazing. Service was always great! After visited twice. Ambiance: most people wear gym clothes here. Even on a date. Interior is giving simple vintage vibe, dark. Maybe a causal date? Not a place for romantic date This is a place for you to focus on food I guess?

JUA all around is a spectacular experience and probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in awhile. They do two seatings each night (6pm and 8:30pm) and you can make reservations on Resy. The ambiance is pretty casual too, not stuffy at all, where we saw some people dressing up or down. They offer a 7 course tasting menu, which rotates monthly, and I hear that there are some slight modifications in each course from one month to the next. It's a unique experience, and you'll try new flavors you haven't experienced or see dishes plated in such a creative way. I went a few months ago, but I loved the Caviar Kim. Normally, I'm not a caviar person, but there was something about the dish where all the flavors and textures melded together really well. The most beautiful dish was the duck & chan! Everything was well done, and all the courses I tried were so tasty. Each had its own touch to it. The service was also outstanding. I would definitely come back to experience for a special occasion or when they switch up the menu with some seasonal touches!

Some places may be Michelin but they sure don't seem like they deserve it but here at JUA hands down amazing food and experience all around. Drinks: -After sun 5/5 - light and very refreshing -Blueberry mule 3/5 - didn't like this as I'm not a fan of the ginger soda and wished they use pure ginger juice instead 7 course starts from here: -Caviar Kim 5/5: mouthful burst of delicious flavor! -Mulhoe 5/5: very refreshing for the summer! Never had anything like this -Jook 5/5: it was our first time having Korean style congee and it was delicious and probably the thing that got us quite full! -Dover sole 5/5: one my faves!! Didn't know the fish so taste so good -Duck & Chan 5/5: hands down another fave because the duck was so so tender?!?! -Strawberry 5/5: another refreshing treat and the olive oil surprisingly worked rly well! -Goguma juak 4.5/5: usually not a fan of sweet potato but they made it work All the flavors at JUA were very well balanced and very unique. Would def come back to try their seasonal menu changes!

Came in as a party of one. Right off the bat I was seated quickly and my table was pre-set for a solo diner. I am always happy to see that small attention to detail. That they are prepared for me not just removing an extra table setting. When it came to the food and service I can say this is easily one of the best star restaurants I have been to. The Caviar Kim was the best way to start the meal. It came in with intense strong flavors like a punch. The small hint of spice at the end was like a kiss to wet the palate. The uni Kim was very creamy. Not as strong as the caviar but still very delectable. After the first course the second course of Mulhoe brought the meal back to start. It was very mellow and it did what it needed to do. It brought you back down from the high set by the caviar Kim. From there it was a wonderful dance of flavors that slowly increased to a new high. The dover sole was cooked perfectly. Very soft and tender meat with crispy skin that sang when I ran my chopsticks over it. The duck and Chan was an amazing representation of a full Korean meal of meat, ssam, and plenty of banchan. It also had crispy skin that added an amazing mouthfeel. The desserts were both sweet and memorable. I preferred the goguma juak. Breaking the donut into pieces and mixing it was the ice cream made an awesome dessert. What stood out the most to me was the jook with the supplemental abalone. All I can say is. It was so complex with so many ingredients. At the same time it was warm and comforting. It felt like just being home. I was very happy to learn that the jook is always on the menu. I will be back when the menu changes, and I am looking forward to still having the jook. The service was also great. While it start slow, took about 17 minutes from being seated to being able to order. It quickly changed after that. Everyone was very nice. Asking about how the meal was. What my favorite course was. I talked with several staff members and had some great conversations and got some recommendations for my next meal. I had a terrific experience here at JUA. They have gone above and beyond and truly have earned that star.
